Jason Polan for Soludos

Espadrille // Soludos

Since I am a shoe-addict, I thought it was only appropriate to start reviewing new shoes I purchase from different brands and stores because I can ramble on and on about a nice pair of shoes!

These beauties were the most recent shoes to my shoe collection and I got to say, they are definitely making their way to my top favorite shoes of ALL TIME. (that's right, you read that right). Right when I saw these shoes I knew I needed to have them because the Jason Polan sketches on the espadrille make the shoe so unique. The doodles and the quirky batting eye was the perfect touch to a classic espadrille. I purchased these espadrilles from the Soludos website and I'm actually quite impressed with the quality of the shoe! It was comfortable right out of the box (which is rare for an espadrille shoe). The only concern I have is that they will get dirty since the shoe is a clean white color. However, there are many other Jason Polan style espadrilles on the website (here) if white shoes aren't your thing! Another awesome thing about these shoes is that I get to wear them a lot since I live in Southern California where it rarely rains and everyday is basically "espadrille shoe" season! So that's definitely another plus. All in all, I would definitely repurchase another pair of Soludos shoes (Hint: I've seen some discounted at Nordstrom Rack!)

P.S. Ever since I got them, I always choose these pair of shoes with every outfit...I just can't help it!!

Perfect pop of sunshine yellow on my feet.

Yup, in Southern California it is sunny enough to wear a summer dress & hat.

Current Beauty(ish) Favorites

Jo Malone // Gifted (Jo Malone Store); Roses by Chloé // Sephora; Necklace // Zara; Revlon Matte Lip Balm // Target; Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray // Sephora

Man oh man. These perfume scents are GOLD. They smell so amazing. I got the Jo Malone (left) perfume scent as a gift from a friend and I've been hooked on Jo Malone ever since. The smell is very clean and light. The description on the bottle says it is "Nectarine Blossom & Honey" and it is definitely my go to scent because it isn't too girly or flowery smelling; it's just a really clean and polished smell. I also got the Roses by Chloé perfume as a gift and this smell is more feminine, but definitely not overwhelming. It’s just the right amount so other people will just think that's how you normally smell as a classy, fabulous girl. It also goes on really well with your natural scent. I love both scents and am totally overjoyed with these two perfumes being the first two to start my perfume collection.
I've been wearing this Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in the shade "Sultry" on my lips almost everyday. Since my lips are naturally a bit darker, a lot of the darker shades just look like a "your lips but better" shade on me. This matte balm is perfect for everyday wear and I can layer on more for a darker shade as well. I love the color especially when it fades throughout the day-- it still looks really natural and pretty. It comes in a wide spectrum of shades ranging from pinks to nudes to bold red shades. If you're looking for a matte lip balm that isn't too drying, I'd say these would be good to try out!
My hair is extremely stubborn and no product can ever, EVER hold any hairstyle other than being
completely stick straight. Within 1-2 hours, my hair will lose its curls or waviness and go back to being
straight. It's really hard to find a hair product that works for me and I had heard a lot about bumble and
bumble surf spray being a must have product for your hair. Although I haven't been using it for too
long, I've noticed my hair to have a more messy, beachy hair look and I probably just need to find a nice hairspray that can hold that look for me. If you are fortunate to have hair that works well with most
products, I'm sure the bumble and bumble surf spray would work amazingly on you. Especially in
Southern California, who doesn't want beachy, wavy hair blowing around in the wind?

I ordered this necklace through Zara online during their big sale recently. I had my eye on this necklace
and when it popped back up on Zara's website for the sale, I knew I had to have it. Even though it's a
chunky necklace, I could still wear it with a lot of different casual and more dressy outfits. I love the
light mint blue hues in the necklace and I think it's a perfect piece for summer! It would look great with
an all black outfit or a lightweight denim dress.
