Zebra, Zebra, & Zebra

I've been looking at my wardrobe and realized I really need more simple pieces--comfy tees and simple printed shirts. I love just throwing a shirt on and still looking polished. I decided to get this fun zebra printed shirt from Forever 21. I'm a big sucker for animal prints on clothing items because I think it makes the outfit more unique and fun. I decided to dress up this zebra shirt in this look with my lovely polka dot skirt from Ann Taylor. (Scored this baby on a 50% off sale items day!) I instantly feel better about myself just slipping on this skirt and with the zebra printed shirt, it's the perfect touch! I'm definitely planning to wear this zebra shirt with skirts, some plain old jeans, and layered with cardigans during the fall! Also, on a side note, I decided to trim my hair a couple of inches! At the salon, the hair stylist curled my hair into these loose, effortless waves. I still have yet to master the skills to achieve this look, but until then, I will keep trying!

Trend Talk: Tuxedo

Trend Talk: Tuxedo
So, as we are now transitioning into the fall season, we need to slowly start to adjust our wardrobes accordingly. I've been absolutely loving the tuxedo stripe trend. It looks so classy and chic. Here are some options for you to make the tuxedo stripe an essential in your closet!

1. This J.Crew Tuxedo Stripe Chino is something I've been lusting after ever since it hit the shelves at J.Crew. It's a tuxedo stripe on a chino so it allows you to keep things casual but when you want to, you can add heels and wear it with a blazer or fancier blouse. I love how a chino, which embodies comfort and casualness is mixed with a tuxedo stripe, which adds a formal and sophisticated touch. It's such a staple and I know it will definitely come in handy in the fall season!

2. I recently spotted these Target Tuxedo Stripe Short in store and I love them so much because they give you a comfy & casual look. Sadly (and I mean really, really sadly in my case), these tuxedo shorts don't come in a size 0. The smallest size is a size 2. So, unfortunately, I will not be able to purchase these babies. But, believe me, if they had my size, I would definitely have bought them. They were (or maybe still are?) on promotion in store for 25% off this week. Too good of a deal to pass up!

3. I was scavenging the Internet for Tuxedo Stripe items and I came across this Ann Taylor Tuxedo Twill Pant. This type of pant is more "dressy"since it is made from twill material. But nevertheless, you can essentially wear it casually or dress it up for work, an interview, a date, or a girl's night out. The tuxedo stripe adds a different twist on just your normal work pant.

4. First and foremost, I would just like to say...if you haven't seen Phillip Lim's x Target collection, you need to. Now. And, for your convenience, you can simply click here! (Click it, it's for your own good). Now that THAT'S out of the way, this Phillip Lim x Target Tuxedo Pant is definitely for a more formal occasion. I love the deep hue of navy blue mixed with the black tuxedo stripe. It looks very high-end and something Zara or Bloomingdales would sell. The Phillip Lim x Target Collection comes out on September 15th so go check it out!

* Lastly, I just added a fun Zara Leopard Loafer (similar style) that I would pair with various pants with tuxedo stripes. I think loafers would look really awesome with tuxedo stripe pants-- casual or dressy. For me, I would go with a classic black heel or loafer!

I hope you all enjoyed the trend I'm currently lovin'!
